Gaios Travel is at
the centre of tourist activities on Paxos.  From our office situated on the waterfront at Gaios, our aim is to make sure your stay with us is as pleasant and memorable as possible. Our English speaking staff, all born and raised on Paxos, are at your disposal seven days a week. From the moment you arrive to the time of your departure, my staff and I are available to assist you and organise tours
and ferry excursions.

GAIOS TRAVEL OFFICE

You may also book car hire and small boat hire but we do advise you to book this at the same time as your accommodation (especially boat hire). This is the most popular way of getting around Paxos and demand is high, particularly during the months of July, August and September.

A full bureau de change service is available and you may cash an English cheque, supported by a valid banker’s card, up to the value of £I00.

Local maps, walking books and ferry time tables may also be purchased and a small library is available free of charge. My sister Maroula has a small jeweller’s shop next to my office and she will be happy to give Gaios Travel clients a discount on any purchases. She is also available to provide help and advice relating to your stay with us. I look forward to your visit and greeting you personally upon your arrival.

The west coast of Paxos is rugged with high cliffs and caves
and during the summer months local boats will take you on an unforgettable tour taking you into some of the caves. Sunsets here over Erimitis cliffs are truly spectacular and must be viewed at least once during your stay - a bottle of local wine in the evening always adds to the effect! The quaint little church of The Saints of the Apostles also commands a unique view of the cliffs.

The east coast has many small beaches and secluded coves where, even in the high season, it is still possible to find your own uninhabited little hideaway Mogonissi Bay to the south, has a fine sandy beach, spectacular scenery and a taverna serving food and drinks.

The tiny virtually uninhabited island of
Anti Paxos lies just south of Mogonissi, here you will find beautiful pure white sandy beaches and translucent turquoise waters that are easily on a par with the Caribbean.

LOGGOS

Anti Paxos has three tavernas (all closed in the evening) and is reached by frequent water taxi from Gaios or through our small boat hire service.

A visit here is a must and will please even the most discerning beach lover We have a simple, traditional two bedroom stone cottage on the island. This really will take you back in time and because of its solitude, we recommend it only to those who really want to ‘stop the world’ and check out for a while. It is ideal for honeymoon couples - should you wish, you need never meet anyone else! Boat hire is essential as you will need to make trips to and from Gaios.
